The Coastal Cookies Story

At Coastal Cookies all of our designs are custom made by hand and baked to order. We create buttery-rich sugar cookies, lovingly made from scratch using the finest ingredients. These cookies are meticulously hand-decorated with royal icing and make ideal gifts or party favors for a variety of events.

The cookies featured on this website are selected examples of our many designs. We are continuously creating new and exciting cookie designs for various occasions, so be sure to visit this site periodically for updated images.

About the Cookies
Ingredients: Our ingredients include butter, sugar, eggs, vanilla extract, flour, salt and baking powder. For the royal icing we use confectioners' sugar, meringue powder, vanilla and lemon extracts, gel paste (food colorings), purified island water and fresh salt air. Our cookies have no preservatives and are best eaten within 2-4 weeks. Although we do not use nuts in our recipe, anyone with food allergies should use caution before consuming our product.

Pricing and packaging: All our cookies are priced by design and vary in size and cost. A lot of love and labor goes into each of our designs! Please call or email for a specific quote on the design of your choice or to schedule a free consultation:(252) 423-2071 or e-mail us at Coastal Cookies.

The cost per cookie includes wrapping in a cellophane bag with a a coordinating bow. We use 1/4" ribbon of satin, sheer, sheer with satin edging, and wraphia in a variety of colors to match your event.

Examples of our cookie prices:
Small: approximately 3 1/2" x 4" overall, starting at $4.25 per cookie
Medium: approximately 4" x 5" overall, starting at $5.25 per cookie
Large: approximately 5" x 8" overall, starting at $6.75 per cookie
Minimum Orders: most of our designs require a minimum purchase of 12 cookies.
Retail location: At this time, the only authorized vendor for our cookies is Basnight's Lone Cedar Café, in Nags Head. www.lonecedarcafe.com

At least 2-3 weeks lead time is required, depending on the project. Please provide the following with your order request:

The name or description of the cookie design
The quantity needed
Any decoration/personalization details
Your ribbon preference
Your telephone number
The delivery date for your order (we recommend your cookies arrive one or two days before your event)

The delivery address, including recipient's telephone number (There is no charge for delivery along the Outer Banks from Southern Shores to Avon)

Payment Terms

Payment in full is required

before we bake (at least two

weeks prior to delivery).

Coastal Cookies orders are

non-refundable. Samples are

available for a $10 fee, including

shipping. Payment is accepted by

cash, check or PayPal.
